We have successfully supplied slab tongs manufactured by our Italian partner, Slingofer, to our esteemed international customer in Algeria. This significant delivery aims to meet the industry’s high-capacity and safe handling needs.
The total of five supplied slab tongs, each with a 70-ton slab handling capacity, provide high efficiency and durability. These special pieces of equipment, weighing 21 tons each, have been manufactured in accordance with FEM A7/M7 standards and are designed to withstand up to 1,000,000 handling operations. Additionally, they are capable of safely transporting slabs at temperatures up to 1200 degrees Celsius.
Thanks to the automatic step-by-step handling system, operators can transport 1, 2, or 3 slabs simultaneously or separately as needed. The slabs to be transported can reach up to 12,000 mm in length and a maximum width of 1,850 mm.
