As one of Turkey’s leading special steel producers, Asil Çelik has received its new mechanical ingot tong, supplied by Tekbem to support their production operations.
The 9-ton ingot tong is designed to perform a minimum of 250,000 handling cycles with maximum durability. With a lifting capacity of 35 tons, the equipment is used for the safe handling and tilting of hot ingots within a diameter range of 660 – 1860 mm.
The opening and closing mechanisms of the tong were supplied by the crane manufacturer within the project scope. This robust solution ensures high safety, long service life, and operational efficiency for Asil Çelik’s demanding production processes.
