Darphane-i Amire Restoration Project

Date: 2024 – January
Location: Istanbul

The restoration process of the Darphane-i Amire buildings, which started in 2021 within the scope of the National Palaces Administration of the President of the Republic of Turkey and whose first construction dates back to the 17th century, continues.

Our company, which has supported many restoration projects in Turkey in the past years, also proudly took part in the Darphane-i Amire project. Architectural tension rods were preferred in the steel structure diagonals of the building, which was previously used as a printing workshop. Architectural tension rods in M16 and M30 diameters were supplied from our British business partner, Macalloy. Our cross couplers were used to cross the tension rods, each approximately 6 meters long. Steel products will be painted after other parts of the project are completed. The Darphane-i Amire project, planned to be opened on October 29, 2024, will host its guests as a museum of old money and weapons.
