Hasankeyf Project: Tension Bars Supply

Date: 2021 - January
Location: Batman

Historical buildings around 12.000 years old were faced with risk of submerging due to the Ilisu Dam that is being constructed at Hasankeyf district in Batman.  In order to prevent this, these historical buildings were removed from their places, moved to Cultural Park formed at the side of Dicle River and placed there keeping the original architecture unchanged.  At the end of this project by State Hydraulic Works and General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, these historical buildings were lifted on special platforms using special techniques and methods and transported to Cultural Park.

We have supplied the last batch of high strength tension rods required for lifting the historical buildings and placing them on special transportation platforms using hydraulic jacks.  These rods were imported at lengths of 6m which were then cut to requested lengths and equipped with appropriate plates, nuts and couplers and delivered to the customer.
