Tilters
The coil tilting is made by a rack and pinion device which rotates the main tong body. The tong controls are all hydraulic. The tong opening – closing – tilting are controlled with a push button control panel by a crane operator.
They are usually used in steelmills, rolling mills and harbours.
Characteristics
- Stationary tilters: Maximum load 45 tons
- Aerial tilters: Maximum load 32 tons
- Max temperature: 500°C
